2015 Donation Drive

Hello everyone!! It has been quite a while since we last touched base, so please let me take a moment to say that I hope everyone had a most joyous holiday season, and also that your new year is off to a wonderful start!
It seems so far, yet so close, but Skylar's second birthday will be coming up in April, and once again, through Skylar's Wish, we will be making a donation to Capital Health Hospital, in Hopewell, NJ.
For those of you who may be new to Skylar's Wish, please allow me to offer some insight... Our daughter, Skylar, was stillborn on April 14th, 2013. After a perfect pregnancy, there was no reason, no explanation as to why our baby - who was completely healthy in utero, perfectly formed, and utterly gorgeous at birth, had no heartbeat. We came to find out afterwards that 1 in every 160 pregnancies ends in stillbirth. Heartbreaking statistics to find out.
Wayne and I remain committed to ensuring that Skylar's name lives on, not just in memories, but in physical reminders. Through the outfits, hats, booties and blankets which will be donated yearly via Skylar's Wish, we hope for 3 things:
1. Keeping our daughter's memory alive
2. Offering the tiniest amount of comfort to families who have had to go through what we have been through, by giving them tangible memories of their baby
3. Bringing awareness to the tragedy that is stillbirth
Beginning now, we will be collecting the following;
- preemie and newborn sized outfits (preferably one-piece outfits)
-hats
-booties
-baby blankets
